Respect your pillows
Many times, and i have been depressed too. The best thing I found was to let yourself cry. And then wake up in the morning and power through. Remember, every situation is temporary. You don’t know where you will be in 5 years time or what life has in store for you.
On days you feel down, allow yourself tpo but appreciate small things like maybe a beautiful flower or the sun (or rain?) on your skin, the buzzing of bees (right one its 8:20am where I am – London – and I have woken up to go into work and I’m just gently lying in bed whilst my eyes come around and I’m listening to the bees and the schoolchildren leaving for school and people outside greeting each other – do you know how many times I have heard “”Good morning, how are you? How was your weekend?” This morning? It’s lovely that the neighbours are asking each other) .
Marvel at the beautiful things humans have done rather than the terrible things, like for example, libraries, impressive buildings, classic literature etc. I like to look at babies in prams and think inside my head that they have a world of opportunity and the world that is surrounding them is theirs to harvest and use. remember that this is the same for you and you can reach any dream or anything you want as long as you work hard for it and work to make it a possibility.
Pain in is inevitable, suffering is a choice. You can’t be in control of every situation in your life, but you are in control of you. i used be very suicidial and one time I opened up to my mother and I was in floods of tears telling her how I wanted to die and was so alone And I didn’t see the point in life because there is no point as we are all just going to die.
She, in her beautiful softly spoken voice, placed her hand on mine and said “life is more shit than good, and that’s just the way it is. But thats what makes the good so good. Always remember, the point is that there is no point. Respect others, do what you want to do, and feel how you feel, but don’t forget that you are the pilot of your own ship and you can choose how you want to live”.
Maybe be try meditating before bed, it really helps. Eat well, drink plenty of water, exercise, go for walks, do some gardening, learn a new hobby… all these things should help but if they don’t, then at least theyve done some good anyway!
If you ever thing you are not normal, remember there are billions of people in the world and there has been billions more before us, whatever it is you’re doing or whatever it is you’re upset about, it is guaranteed that there is probably someone else in the world feeling the same or there was someone else before you that had felt the same emotions.
Take care and I hope you feel better soon xx
