Harry’s upcoming book could be mistake like Diana’s was, royal expert claims

A royal expert has claimed Prince Harry will deeply regret ‘selling’ his family by writing a new book – just like his late mother Princess Diana did.

The Duke of Sussex has been secretly working on a memoir for nearly a year, it has been revealed.

Buckingham Palace fear further explosive revelations after it came to light Harry has linked up with an American “power ghostwriter”.

A source close to the family told the Mirror the thought of the book has sparked a ‘tsunami of fear’ in royal circles.

Now Ingrid Seward says she feels the Prince releasing a memoir could be the biggest mistake he ever makes.

Princess Diana’s 1992 book, Diana Her True Story with Andrew Morton, created global headlines – and she said a few years later that it should have never been published.

Harry claims he is not writing the book as the prince he was born – but as the person he has become.

Writing in The Sun, the royal expert believes the whole idea could come back and “haunt” him.

“Revealing personal details of such a public royal life as Harry’s cannot be a good idea,” she said.

“It may well come back to haunt him, especially if it upsets his grandmother and then he changes his mind about what he has said.

“Diana regretted doing her book so she said. She certainly regretted making millions for everybody else out of her own sad revelations – this could be the worst mistake of Harry’s life. ”

The book is yet another money-spinning venture Harry, 36, has undertaken since leaving the royal family and relocating to California.

Moehringer promising to deliver a “wholly truthful and accurate” account of his life and Megxit when published at Christmas or early in the New Year.

But it has not gone down well at the Palace.

A source earlier told the Mirror: “Ever since leaving royal life, Harry and Meghan have made claim after claim of how they allege they have been treated.

“They say that it is their truth but there is only ever one truth.

“Since their interview with Oprah Winfrey tensions have been running very high as much of what they said has since been proven to be unreliable at best.

“There is a now tsunami of fear among the royals over what Harry will write.

“Many hope he may correct a few things but do not hold much hope.”

In a statement confirming the book, the Duke said: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.

“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”
